The special features of
DigitalMentor Learning
The proprietary DigitalMentor technology has the following exciting learning features that help the student’s
on screen experience highly effective.
|
TOC: The table of concepts
The student will be able to jump to the Table of Concepts from any slide
with one click. There they
have a detailed, hyperlinked Table from where they can go to any section of the text quite freely.
Bookmarks
Student can place book marks to any slide and open those slides from any sides.
The annotations
Students can write annotations on any slide and refer back to them at any point.
Quizzes
The student can take quizzes, monitor his/her performance and track it throughout the period of learning.
The best is yet to come
The work books
Along with the purchase of every
DigitalMentor, you receive 7 associate work books (3 copies each). These
workbooks provide the extra learning material for your library. They are completely fresh material (new examples, passages and
exercises).
In addition to helping the students immensely, they will be excellent
resources for your library.
User Manual
Of course, a user manual with screenshots, instructions and help tools comes with every DigitalMentor suite.
|
How
does the
DigitalMentor work?
The User manual,
on screen suggestions, help tools and most importantly user
friendly graphics interface make it extremely easy to install
and run the courses.
|
You install the software in as
many computers as the license permits. Any student in
your institute can then learn at their own pace. The
computers need not be on the LAN or connected to the Internet.
The learning experience is enriched if the monitor is colored.
How
is it possible to train so many
students with so few licenses?
DigitalMentor
comes to you with a certain number of machine licenses (starting
from 10 and upwards).
You can install
the courses on as many machines as the licenses permit.
After installation, any number of students can use them. We
do not restrict the number of users.
Here is a more
accurate calculation of the number of students you can train
with each license.
For an average student, the entire
DM program takes the following time frame
| Language
and Communication skills |
120 hours
|
| Life skills and personality skills |
80 hours
|
| Entrepreneurial skills |
40 hours
|
| Computer
and IT skills |
120
hours
|
|
Total |
360 hours |
|
This does not take in to account the time spent on reading the associated work books.
Not every student may take all the courses and study from end to end. We assume that an average student spends approximately 150
hours on the system.
|
Assuming that you can allocate 4 hours for this study on each computer and you work 225 days a year, each computer can serve 6
students. So, each machine license you procure can be used to train 6 students on
average every year (there is no yearly subscription at this stage).
Of course, the calculations may
vary from institute to institute. But, by not
restricting the number of students who can take this course and by not
charging any annual subscription, we ensure that you train dozens
of students with every license.
How much should
this system cost?
Here is the bundle that you receive what you get Digital Mentor
- 7 CDs
each one covering a course
- A CD
with proprietary learning management software
- 8
associated books (3 copies each)
- A User manual
|
 |
Each CD is a collection
of one or more courses. When we say a course, we are talking
of a self-paced, self-contained 30-40 hours program.
How
much you would
otherwise spend for this training?
We assume that you train 60
students and each student gets 150 hours of training every year.
|
Method
1
Estimating the cost of training
per hour per student at a mere $5,
the cost of 150 hours of training per student is to the tune
of $750.
So, your training expenditure will be $45,000 every year for
60 students
Method
2
Let us also look
at getting each of these modules separately from other digital
training programs:
The price of registration
on any 10 hours digital training program is around $50-$100
per registration. Let us say the average price is $75.
So, if you go for individual
registrations, you spend $75*15 or $1125 on each student.
On 60 students, this is equal to $67500.
This expense repeats
every year.
|
DigitalMentor
comes at a
minute fraction of that cost.
The 10 licenses of DigitalMentor
cost just $1100 and every additional license is $75 for every
additional machine license. This cost includes the technology,
reference books. There are absolutely no other hidden costs
other than shipping.
In
addition, For a very limited time, we have decided to waive
off the annual subscription completely.
So, this unbelievably small price
will be a one time fee for life time licensing for a
limited time.
So, you
can save as much as $45000 every year with a one
time purchase of this program.
|
